青山の家　マンションリノベーション

築30年RC3階建共同住宅の住戸/92㎡の夫婦2人の為のフルリノベーションである。

眼前隣地の緑地とマンション共用部に30年かけて育った緑地を同時に享受しながら風や自然光を心地良く感じることの出来る計画としている。間仕切壁のないワンルーム空間に家具やトイレを配置。領域を軽く与え平面が窮屈にならないようにしている。一方で高い、低い、暗い、明るい、ほの明るい、など抑揚ある空間とすることで移ろい行く自然を感じながら美しい日常を過ごすことが出来るのではないかと考えた。

玄関を入ると正面に床の間サイズの小さな開口が正体しアイキャッチとなりつつ、リビング側のプライバシーを保ちバルコニー側の自然光を間接光に変えている。土間を広く取り多趣味のご主人の領域と元美容師の奥様のカットスペースと位置付けた。隣家間の壁面は大容量の壁面収納としその表面に厚みの違う3種類の幅のラワンベニヤをランダムに貼り付けた。バルコニー側の緑と廊下側の緑を意識的に連続させる為の自然光の造る影が欲しかった。私達はこれを「木立のトレース」と呼んだ。「木立のトレース」に設けられた小さなニッチに籠り大好きな漫画を読む奥様はまさに森の中での至極のひと時になると考えた。ベッド空間にはプライバシーと明るさを調節出来るファブリックを設けた。これは正に森の中にある巣(ネスト)となり安らかな眠りを誘う。

Aoyama House

A complete renovation of a 30-year-old RC 92m2 apartment for a young couple.

The open plan lets in plenty of natural light and air from the neighboring green areas. There are no internal walls, but by playing with the height of the ceiling, dark and brighter areas, different moods are created throughout the apartment.

The small alcove-sized opening in front of the entrance is an eye-catcher. This small alcove, which is in fact the entrance to a small toilet, works to shield off the living room from sudden visitors, but allows plenty of indirect light in from the balcony.

The traditional doma – earthen floor – area works both as a small hobby area for the husband and as a cutting space for the wife, who used to be a hairdresser. On one side of the apartment, a large storage space clad in three different widths and thicknesses of Lauan plywood adds texture and shadows reminiscent of a small forest due to the different thickness of the wood. There is a small niche cut out in this terrace to be used as a reading space for the wife where she can read her favorite comics. The bed room is hidden behind fabric curtains at the pack for privacy, creating a small nest in the forest inviting peaceful sleep.
